Children's Mental Health Week

The Academy is raising awareness of Children’s Mental Health all week through assemblies, videos, quizzes and challenges.


Tuesday 2nd Feb - #dontgoitalone

Kooth are an online mental wellbeing community who provide free, safe and anonymous support. Their hashtag encourages young people to talk about their mental health and seek support. https://vimeo.com/505725535


Wednesday 3rd Feb – Inside Out Day

Staff and students were encouraged to wear an item of clothing inside out as a reminder to be kind always, as you never know how someone is feeling inside. https://nowandbeyond.org.uk/


Thursday 4th Feb - Time To Talk Day (Time to Change)

Time to Change is a movement dedicated to reducing stigma and discrimination around mental health by promoting talk and discussion. Friday 5th Feb – Screen Free Weekend Challenge

On Friday pupils will be encouraged to plan how they can be screen free for a whole weekend! Monday 8th Feb - Express Yourself The theme for this year's Children's Mental Health Week is Express Yourself! Pupils and staff will be asked to share how they express themselves creatively and how it impacts their wellbeing and mental health. https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/
